How do I start a course of treatment?
In order to start a course of treatment you can contact me by phone or e-mail, briefly explaining your situation and making an appointment for a session.
In the first session I listen carefully, trying to understand the needs, critical points, strengths and questions of the person in front of me. I ask targeted questions to gain a better understanding of specific aspects and then agree on a treatment plan.
In some cases I might consider it appropriate to use some questionnaires or tests, always in agreement with the person who comes to me, in order to get to know them better.
Duration of treatment
Estimating the duration of a treatment in the field of psychological well-being is difficult.
Some treatments may last a few sessions, others may last for several months or longer.
During the treatment… Together with the therapist, a period evaluation is made on your progress in order to agree on how to continue.
WHAT I OFFER
- attentive listening
- a cosy environment
- confidentiality
- respect for peculiarities
- authentic participation in the therapy
- tailor-made therapy with the utmost respect for the uniqueness of the person/people in front of me
- methods adapted to the needs of the individual
Some useful information for the protection of users
It is compulsory to be registered in the Professional Order of Psychologists in order to be able to practise as a psychologist.
Any person who consults a registered psychologist is protected in various ways:
Registration in the Professional Order of Psychologists
It is possible at any time and free of charge to check the professional’s titles and qualifications on the website of the regional order to which he or she belongs (e.g. https://www.ordinepsicologiveneto.it/albo-online/) or on the website of the National Council of the Order of Psychologists https://areariservata.psy.it/cgi-bin/areariservata/albo_nazionale.cgi).
Professional Secrecy, Protection of Privacy, Informed Consent, Processing of Personal Data
Psychologists and psychotherapists are bound by professional secrecy. Furthermore, they are obliged, for the Customer’s protection, to strictly comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)and must provide their Patients with a copy of their privacy policy. Finally, the client must sign an informed consent form for acceptance of the processing, which is presented in detail before starting a course.
Invoice, Traced Payment, Tax Deductions
A regular invoice is issued after each session.
The expense is deductible as a medical expense if payment is made by traceable methods (e.g. debit card or bank transfer), which the professional is obliged to accept.
In Italy, invoice data is entered into the Health Card System (STS, Sistema Tessera Sanitaria) for deduction purposes. A client who does not want the data to be sent to the STS may object by signing a form that the professional will provide.
